TradeScope helps to organise a European buyer trip to California, New Mexico and Arizona each December to visit US producers of dried fruit and nuts. We make a point of networking at the Almond Conference in Sacramento as part of the trip. In one notable instance, a Swiss nut processor bought 5 containers of almonds from a US producer we dined with during the trip. The approximate value of the 5 containers was $1.3 million. There’s no better way to sell than through simple relationship-building, especially when forged over a beer and some great food!
Maybe that’s one of the reasons we’re looking forward so much to this year’s trip…
