Breaking into European markets: Step 1

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, as the ancient Chinese proverb goes. For TradeScope, when it comes to helping clients break into European markets, that single step is to assess a client’s objectives and interrogate their practicality and attainability. Following on from that, we produce an initial report that encompasses target market opportunities, obstacles, feasibility and a recommendation on how to proceed to attain their objectives.

For instance, we are currently in the process of producing a report for some companies in the western US which will include:

  • General overview of European food and beverage markets

  • UK market review

  • German market review

  • COVID-19 update and post-Covid outlook

  • Overview of the main Food and Beverage trade fairs/shows (processed food, ingredients, fruit, veg, etc.)

  • Case study of how to enter the European market (using processed food as an example)

  • Recommendation for a way forward

Following presentation of this report to the client and assimilation of their feedback, we are then able to produce the most efficient and cost-effective sales and marketing plan to help them achieve their goals.
